Krysztof Holowczyc keeps on adding points to his World Cup tally  • The Pole takes his MIN ALL4 Racing to second position in the overall ranking  Qatar’s Sealine Cross Country Rally turned out to be a gruelling four-day battle: the demanding terrain that featured not only desert sand but also hard sections covered by rocks. And in addition, there was the extremely difficult navigation that exasperated numerous competitors. But the Monster Energy X-raid Team, its pairing Krzysztof Holowczyc (POL) / Andreas Schulz (GER) and the MINI ALL4 Racing successfully met all the challenges to finish runner-up behind the buggy of Jean-Louis Schlesser. Having finished fifth in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, Holowczyc travelled to Qatar with a lot of pleasant anticipation. In his white MINI ALL4 Racing, he made a good start into the third FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup round and finished second right away. In the second special stage he encountered two punctures but succeeded in defending his second position in the overall standings, nevertheless. On the following day, the problems were forgotten and he struck back by winning the third special stage. In the fourth and final special stage, the Monster Energy X-Raid Team driver once again set the second-fastest time to also secure the second place in the overall ranking. “We once again succeeded in scoring World Cup points and doing so represented by No 1 priority, here in Qatar,” said Krzysztof Holowcycz. “The MINI ALL4 Racing ran perfectly and the collaboration with Andy also works better and better. He did a really great job, today. We were the first to start into today’s special stage and nonetheless, we completed it without any navigation mistakes. • Gesamtrang zwei für den Polen im MIN ALL4 RacingEs war ein harter viertätiger Kampf auf der Sealine Cross Country Rally in Katar: das fordernde Terrain, dass nicht mit Wüste, sondern auch mit hartem Untergrund übersät mit Steinen aufwartete. Dazu eine extrem schwierige Navigation, die viele Teilnehmer verzweifeln ließ. Doch das Monster Energy X-raid Team und das Duo Krzysztof Holowczyc (POL)/Andreas Schulz (GER) bestanden mit dem MINI ALL4 Racing die Prüfungen und sicherte sich den zweiten Gesamtrang hinter Jean-Louis Schlesser im Buggy. Holowczyc war nach seinem fünften Platz bei der Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge mit großer Vorfreude nach Katar gereist. Im weißen MINI ALL4 Racing startete er mit einem zweiten Platz sehr gut in die dritte Runde des FIA Weltcup für Cross-Country-Rallyes. Auf der zweiten Wertungsprüfung gelang es dem Polen, trotz zweier Reifenschäden, den zweiten Gesamtrang zu halten. Die Probleme waren schnell abgehakt und der Pole konterte mit einem Tagessieg. Auf der vierten und letzten Etappe fuhr er erneut die zweitschnellste Zeit und beendete die Rallye auf dem zweiten Gesamtplatz. „Wir konnten wieder für den Weltcup punkten und das war hier mit das Wichtigste“, so Krzysztof Holowcycz. „Der MINI ALL4 Racing ist gut gelaufen und die Zusammenarbeit mit Andi klappt auch immer besser. Er hat heute einen sehr guten Job gemacht. Wir mussten die Etappe eröffnen und wir kamen ohne Navigationsfehler durch. Nach den drei Rallyes sind wir ein richtig gutes Team geworden.“ Ergebnis 4.
